What this site is

This site is an information resource about PODD — Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display — for people in the United States and Canada. It explains what PODD is, where to obtain templates and page sets, which trainings are available, and who the certified trainers are.

It is an information resource. It is not a shop, a clinic, or a training provider.

Trainings are run by other people

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is near the top.

The trainings listed here are organized, delivered and sold by independent certified PODD presenters and by the organizations hosting them. They are not our events. We do not take registrations, we do not take payment, and we do not set prices, dates, venues or cancellation terms.

When you register for a training you are entering an agreement with that presenter or host organization, under their terms, not ours. Questions about payment, refunds, cancellation, accessibility arrangements or course content go to them. We list trainings as a service to the PODD community and we do our best to keep the details accurate, but we cannot be responsible for a training that changes, is cancelled, or does not meet your expectations.

The trainer directory

Trainers listed here hold PODD certification. Certification is granted by the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre in Melbourne, Australia, not by us, and each presenter is approved to deliver particular workshops rather than all of them.

Listing a trainer is not a recommendation, a guarantee of their work, or a statement that they are the right fit for you. We do not supervise them, employ them, or take a share of their fees. Checking that someone is right for your situation — including their credentials, insurance, and experience with the people you support — is up to you.

If you are a listed trainer and your details are wrong or out of date, email us and we will fix them.

This is not clinical advice

Everything here is general educational information about a communication system. It is not clinical, medical, therapeutic or educational advice about any particular person, and nothing here should be used to decide whether a specific communication system is right for a specific individual.

AAC decisions should be made with a qualified speech-language pathologist or AAC specialist who knows the person. Please do not treat this site as a substitute for that.
