A two-day official Introductory PODD course hosted by Innov-AT, presented by certified PODD trainer Kelly Fonner.
The course demonstrates the PODD approach developed by Gayle Porter, covering how the templates for multi-page communication books are organized and how they can be customized for different access methods and individual needs. Electronic versions available through the Grid and Compass apps are briefly demonstrated.
Participants get hands-on practice with the two most-used PODD communication books, the 12 Expanded Functions and the 70, with demonstration models of more than fifteen PODD book types available to look through, and video examples of children using them.
